Traffic Operations and Safety (TOPS) Research Lab at FIU

The TOPS Research Laboratory, directed by Prof. Priyanka Alluri, Ph. D., P.E., is housed within the Lehman Center for Transportation Research (LCTR) at Florida International University (FIU).

The TOPS Lab conducts both transportation safety and operation research. Dr. Alluri and her research team investigate pattern of traffic crashes using different statistical algorithms and innovative techniques, identifies appropriate countermeasures, and recommends best way to implement them. 

 

The TOPS research team has partnered with FDOT in several projects to make Florida’s Transport system safe, secured, and effective.
